Security forces in Pakistan neutralized seven terrorists linked to the group designated as 'Fitna al Khwarij'—a state term for TTP members—during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Sherani district on October 1. The military's media wing confirmed the successful engagement of the terrorists' hideout, recovering weapons and explosives, and stated the militants were involved in numerous regional terrorist activities. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for delivering a decisive defeat to those who targeted civilians and vowed the government and armed forces are determined to completely root out terrorism. The operation follows a similar successful raid in Lakki Marwat on September 27 where 17 terrorists were killed, and another operation in Mastung where four terrorists were eliminated. The Prime Minister also issued a warning to Kabul against harboring militants operating from Afghan soil with alleged Indian backing, threatening a firm response if such activities continue.
